Access

UPDATE produce an Access Guide wall chart giving information about physical access to premises. It covers issues such as the size of parking spaces, the layout of accessible toilets, switch heights, door sizes, and many useful notes about environmental access.

You can download the Access Guide from here in PDF format. It is designed to be a large wall poster and, for best results, should be printed on at least A3 size paper.

You may find it helpful to talk with your local Access Panel. These are organisations set up in each local authority area to assist with the planning and implementation of access to buildings for disabled people. You can find your local access panel by checking our list of Local Access Panels.
