Become an UPDATE Scotland member

  • Do you provide disability-related information or advice?
  • Do you want to reduce the amount of time your staff spend searching for the information they need?
  • When a reliable source of related or supplementary information is what you need, can you find it easily and quickly?
  • Do you spend more time looking for information than using it to help your clients?

If you answer yes to one or more of the above questions, UPDATE can help.

Our public site provides a wealth of disability information, but by joining UPDATE Scotland you have access to much, much more.  To become a member, download the UPDATE membership form, or just get in touch for more details.

Here are some of the additional services and information available.

SCOOP disability database - Information records

Use the Search, Advanced or Directories sections to find disability information from over 3000 more records than our standard service. Typical records include information on disability organisations and support groups, disability equipment suppliers, holidays, respite care, accessible venue hire and much more....

Newsletters

Newsletter are produced bi-monthly and contain news articles on topical disability issues and general interest features.

Local Records

Create your own, local database of disability records, specific to your location or organisation. Manage and search your own database records.

Factsheets

Our UPDATE Scotland Factsheets provide members with regular and relevant disability information including legal and advisory information.

Current Awareness Service (CAS)

Our monthly CAS Bulletin is a paper mailing containing details on current training programmes, new services, conferences and seminars as well as highlighting any changes to records on our SCOOP Database.

Information Management

A new range of factsheets for members providing guidance on setting up and managing information services, resources and libraries.

Suggest a record

A new service, available to members only, where you can enter details of a record you think should be added to the UPDATE Scotland database.
