This database is for decision makers and service providers in the public and voluntary sectors producing information and running public engagement activities. It aims to help you make these activities more inclusive by involving people with varied communication support needs. These needs go wider than those linked to sensory impairment or English as an additional language. They are often more hidden and therefore go unmet.
The database is part of the Civic Participation Network, funded by the Scottish Government.
The database has 3 sections:
Communication disability organisations
Organisations active in Scotland with specialist knowledge of communication support needs.
Consulting with people with communication support needs
Organisations with links with people with communication support needs, keen to be involved in public engagement activities.
Inclusive communication service providers
A range of services to help you make your communication more inclusive.
You can search the database by clicking on the buttons below or by using the keyword search link.
